Wash clothes in just one cup of water, thanks Eco-friendly Waterless washing machine concept

waterless washing machine

The washing machine concept that we are going to talk about now will make many many people happy the moment it gets a life. Right from the lady at home when is most of the time sulking for water shortage to the government who keeps shouting loud to pass on the message of ‘saving water’.

Now if you are thinking that a washing machine can only waste water then let me brief you about this concept called Xeros washing machine designed by the he British inventors. This unique washing machine uses just a single cup of water to wash those piles of clothes

works in the washing machine instead of water are thousands of special plastic chips. In every wash the chips get heated as the available one cup of water heats up and absorb the dirt and stains from the clothes. Once the washing is over the chips are removed and they can be reused up to 100 times.

If all goes well you’ll see this washing machine in the market around next year and we are sure it will take the eco-friendly revolution to the next level of innovation.

Comcast’s immense 10 million pixel video wall

On june 8th the brand new comcast center opened in philadelphia and immediately became the tallest building in the city. now, whilst the building itself is a beauty, the thing that made me dribble slightly and the thing that no-one seems to have picked up on yet is the phenomenal video wall in the skyscraper’s lobby, built by barco. first of all take a look at the pictures, watch the videos, wipe your mouth and then prepare for some facts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO6ty5RfnrA

i’m told that to see it in action, in person, is breathtaking. i’m also told that the screen cost a whopping $22million to design, construct and install.

for that money, you get the following…

1. the largest four-millimeter LED screen in the world, measuring 83.3ft x 25.4ft

2. 10 million pixels mounted in a seamless flat array - that’s 5 times the resolution of high-definition tv

3. an automated control room, home to 27′000 gigabytes of information, six dx-700 led digitizers, seven encore video processors and three matrixpro routers

Gotta love the one touch backup feature, since that makes it a snap to keep a copy of all your crucial files without going through too much of a hassle. Good to know it supports both 2.5″ and 3.5″ SATA hard drives, making this a highly versatile gizmo to have, especially when you want to transfer data from different computers since this connects via USB. It will cost you $53 to bring this puppy home.

The Indoor/Outdoor Sentry Wireless Speaker and Transmitter

Most people that enjoy their music a lot like to keep it with them and on cleaning day having a speaker that can move with you would be great. Especially in a home with multiple iPods and kids this little Sentry Wirelesss Speaker would come in handy. The iPod works wirelessly so you could leave it one place and take the speaker with you. Even more convenient is that the speaker itself is water resistant. Granted don’t go dipping it in the pool, but if it gets splashed on or even gets rained on a bit before you can rush it indoors would be okay.

Although the set only comes with one speaker, you can hook up six different speakers to it. Which means if you felt like blaring music in the entire house you’d have the equipment for it. As with most docks if you happen to have something besides an iPod you can play that through the speaker as well. As long as it has a 3.5 mm headset port it will work. The set includes the dock and one speaker and will cost you $99.99.

USB Missile Rocket Launcher

Missile Launcher

The “launcher” can be plugged into any usual standard USB port. The software lets you control the elevation and azimuth. If you have locked the target, push FIRE and a foam missile is launched by the computer, with missile sound effects!

You could also tape a web cam to it. It keeps visitors on their toes
seeing a missile launcher tracking them around!
The missiles have a range of about 3 meters, but as the missiles are made of foam, you are unlikely to do any damage(unless they land in your coffee).

The Computer controlled missile launcher contains: three foam missiles and PC software CD containing ‘Radar’ type control panel. It can be controlled by mouse or keyboard and it generates missile launch sound effects. It is suitable for children aged 5 years+ but includes detachable parts, so supervision is recommended for younger children. The gadget requires a standard USB port and 3 x AA Batteries which are not included. It’s size is 20 x 14 x 12.5cm.

The software supports Windows 2000/XP. It is not recommended for those of you running Mac or Linux.

Waterproof Audio Player from JVC

the JVC audio player

JVC launched the “latest” audio player with the code name XA-AW33-W. I believe JVC. The features of this digital audio player are amazing:

It is waterproof and can float on water, just like a rubber ducky that can sing any song you want it to. The water resistance of this player is very high: 30 minutes under 1 meter deep water. Music files can be transferred by USB. Works with 4AA batteries (that means that
there is no way you’ll die of electrocution).

The JVC digital audio player can play MP3, WMA and also WMA-DRM formats. The
memory for this player is 256MB of memory.

The Intruder - Cell Phone Design

The latest cell phone designed by Dennis Hopkins, “The Intruder” has a concept which some people can relate to a UFO, actually influences from that field is mentioned on his website to. But without the outer space resembling this cell phones design is pretty much targeted at women.

Its diameter is of only 2.5 inches and when closed it is just one third of an inch thick. When opened it measures 5 inches in length and the display holds 220 x 176 pixels. And last but not least, when someone calls you a ring of light appears from the sides of the phone.

The website of Dennis Hopkins doesn’t let you in to all the technology used so for now we just have to say good luck to women that now have at their disposal a phone looking like a powder compact.
